With Spring on it’s way, there are a number of events coming up within the region, such as the Grass Roots Fly-in at Leeton in August or the Jabiru Mainainers course at Tumut. Don’t forget the regular (generally monthly) breakfasts/lunches at various aerodromes including Holbrook, Tumut, Wangaratta and Deni. For more information click on the Events link in the Menu or scroll down further on this page. We also highly recommend the coffee and cake at Tocumwal Aviation Museum!

The Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia event is underway and will continue through until 19 April 2026. On Saturday 18 April 2026 there will be a static display of aircraft and the Corowa and District Car Club are expected to attend with up to 30 vehicles. The aerodrome will be ‘active’ throughout the Antique Aeroplane Association Event so access to the airfield is restricted, however there will be many good vantage points to observe aircraft from in the public access areas and the the car display will in the unrestricted area.

It’s just over one week until aircraft start to arrive for the 2026 Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia Fly-in. Preparation works at the aerodrome are underway as the grounds are made ready for the visit. The User Group has been actively assisting with mowing, weed spraying and other works. Fingers crossed for perfect weather once again for the event!
1 April 2026
The Defence Force Personnel have departed the aerodrome and the current round of parachute training is complete. We look forward to hosting them again for the next round of training (dates TBC).

It’s just a few more weeks until our friends at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia will be back visiting Corowa for their annual get together. It’s always exciting to see these veterans of the air (the aircraft – not the pilots😉) join us. Once again, we are expecting some rare and unusual aircraft to attend. See the Events section for dates.
Please note – access to ‘airside’ during the event is restricted, however the community is encouraged to visit and observe from the public area.
